As South Dakota’s first chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association, the Black Hills Chapter has been encouraging people to enjoy flying and building their own aircraft since 1963.

We meet monthly  on the second Tuesday at our hangar clubhouse at Rapid City Regional Airport.  We also sponsor flying events throughout the year.  Members have a combined expertise in all things aviation related to help you choose the homebuilt of your dreams.  They can also guide you through the process of making your aviation dreams reality. 

We offer a monthly newsletter to highlight members’ activities, aircraft and share in the joys of flying.

We have wannabee pilots and aircraft builders  as members as well as people who make their living flying.  No matter what our backgrounds we all love flying!
